John Bonsall started wiring houses after WWII in 1945. His brother, Harold Bonsall, joined him in 1946 to open a store at 623 Iowa Ave. Later in the year, their 3rd brother, Marion, joined them. In 1959 John Bonsall took the radio & TV business across the street to 618 Iowa Ave while Harold and Marion kept the Appliance part of the business. In 1977, Dick Bonsall (John's son) & Dave Roberts bought Bonsall TV from John; then in 1984, they purchased Bonsall Appliance from Harold & Marion reuniting the business once again.
In 2004 Dave Roberts retired and Brian Zehner purchased Dave's part of the business. Harold continued to work part time in his old store until the time of his death at 93 years old in 2010.
